This Privacy Policy explains how Veynu (the "App"), published by Aruvm, handles information when you create an account, build a profile, discover people nearby, and message other users. Veynu is a location-based social discovery app designed with privacy-aware location controls.
Information We Collect
Depending on how you use Veynu, we may process the following categories of information:
- Account information: Email address and authentication credentials used to create and sign in to your account.
- Profile information: Display name, age/birthdate (18+), bio, and profile photos you choose to upload.
- Location information: Approximate location used to show nearby profiles and distances. You can turn location sharing off in settings.
- Messages and interactions: Messages you send, taps/favorites, blocks, and reports submitted for safety.
- Device & notification data: Push notification tokens (for example, Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can deliver message and activity alerts when enabled.
- Diagnostics: Limited crash and reliability information (for example, through crash reporting services) to help improve app stability.
How We Use Information
- Provide account access, profiles, discovery, and messaging features
- Show nearby people based on location when sharing is enabled
- Deliver push notifications you opt into
- Enforce age requirements, safety tools (block/report), and community standards
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve reliability
Location & Privacy Controls
Location is used for nearby discovery. When you disable location sharing in the App, Veynu stops updating your shared location for discovery and you will not appear in nearby results based on an active shared location. You can also manage location permission at the device level.
How Information Is Shared
- Other users: Profile details you choose to publish (such as name, photos, bio, and approximate distance when location is visible) may be shown to other users as part of discovery and messaging.
- Service providers: We use infrastructure and services needed to operate the App (for example, backend hosting, authentication, storage, push notifications, and crash reporting).
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required to comply with law, enforce terms, or protect users and the service.
We do not sell your personal information.
Data Retention
We retain account and profile data while your account is active. Messages and related content may be retained as needed to provide the service. If you delete your account, we delete or de-identify associated account data in line with our deletion process, except where retention is required for security, fraud prevention, or legal obligations.
Your Choices
- Edit or update your profile information in the App
- Turn location sharing off in privacy/settings
- Block or report users
- Sign out of your account
- Request account deletion through the App settings where available
Children
Veynu is intended only for adults 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect account and profile data, including access controls on backend systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we encourage you to use a strong password and keep your device protected.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Veynu evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date on this page and may provide additional notice in the App when appropriate.
